Image: http://i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae118/GertR/StillSearching-1.jpg 'A blank day is only a failure if it has taught you nothing'
i dint think i'll be doin this dam again, the whole weekend we caught nothing bigger than 4,5kg's. the dam is so full of grass and doesnt matter where u try fish, u will; pull in a ton of grass. tested all the swims as we were the only ones there. saturday came and a few conventional guys were fishing and landing tons of fish, but nothing over 1,5kg's. there is a load of activity but i assume that they are the small ones swin in the grass. was good getting away, but will need to find other decent dams in gauteng or just outside of gauteng

Watergrass seems to be a problem at many venues nowdays... A few months ago i went toe Boeboeberg and it took me and my Son half a day just to clear a swim to fish...

Ok. This is how we did it. (should actually be in the funnies section. lol. but it was great fun...) Take a strong rope. One person sits in front of the grass, with the looped end of the rope. The other one swims around the grass with the other end of the rope. Pull together slowly, then tie the rope to the vehicle's towbar and pull slowly... The pics tell the story...

Hey Baber, who is the old guy in the photo with you? LOL LOL Those people who think they know everything are particularly irritating to those of us who do.
