So we arrived at Donaldson Dam earlyish on Friday morning at 07.20. A quick dash around to say hi to everyone and then off to swim 22 for a weekend I will never forget. This would be my first Anglershaven Social and I hoped that nothing like the blank at Potch would happen again. I would be fishing the"bay" a lovely small swim closed off by reeds in front and all to my left side. Brolly and the rest of camp was set up in 30 mins and then I was on the water looking for suitable areas to place my mouse traps. The water grass was present but only along the reeds and in small patches. The water in the bay was only 3 foot on average and in some spaces 2 foot deep and really clear so seeing the bottom was easy.
